I recently hosted a breakfast for Maccabi GB – the main provider of Jewish sport, health & wellbeing programmes in the UK – for which Sir Martin Sorrell was the special guest and key speaker.
During the sold-out event, hosted by Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) in London Bridge,
I interviewed Sir Martin, and we discussed a broad range of topics including his views on the changing economic landscape to Israel and his memories of Jewish sport and his Jewish identity. Also speaking was Lord Jonathan Kestenbaum, Maccabi GB’s Honorary Life President, who made a moving fundraising appeal for the Maccabi GB Challenge Tour of Israel – a tour specifically for young members of the Community with learning difficulties. Maccabi GB’s President, Michael Ziff, closed proceedings.
After the event, Adam Goldsmith from Maccabi said ‘Once again, thank you for helping make Monday’s event an incredibly successful one for MGB.’
